A dynamic and enthusiastic care home manager is required to lead and develop this outstanding care home. The manager must have a proven track record in managing a care home and have strong leadership skills in directing, supporting, and organizing the team
Job Role:
To lead, manage and develop the activities in the Home to provide standards of care and support which exceed the expectations of service users, regulators and purchasers.
Skills and knowledge required:
- As required for NMC/SSSC registration, Recognised Management qualification or ability to achieve this within the time frame required
- Leadership/Training qualification
Essential Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years at management level within a care setting
- Experience of regulatory body interaction
- Budgetary management
- Coaching, mentoring and supervision
- Strong leadership and development skills
- Management of multiple in-house teams
- Knowledge and understanding of quality assurance methods and their application
- Experience and ability to demonstrate application of the principles of person-centered care within a service
- Service planning and development
- Experience of partnership working and networking
- Marketing & public relations
Main Tasks:
- Oversee, manage and lead the ongoing development of high quality individualised care and support in line with the new Health and Social Care Standards, Legislation, Company Policy and Best Practice
- Promote the organisation’s core values and act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the values in action
- Manage the staff group in all aspects including performance, attendance, training and development
- Maximise income by developing and disseminating the positive reputation of the service, through marketing and quality grades
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, contractual requirements
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders
- Communicate effectively with line management, submitting reports as per operational demands
