Kitchen Assistant

Responsible For:  Assisting Cook/ Chef In All Areas Required.

Minimum Qualifications: None (Will be required to undergo training in Basic Food Hygiene).


• The Kitchen Assistant must be an experienced, mature and reliable person who is fully competent in all aspects of kitchen work and who can assist in producing a variety of menus, including catering for special dietary needs.
• The Kitchen Assistant is part of the care team, but does not deal directly with residents.


What we need from you:
• Ensure the prompt preparation of all meals and beverages as required, including special diet meals and function work, and to check meals issued for quality, quantity and appearance.
• Preparation of special diet meals to the precise instructions of the doctor or other persons as appropriate (including Rabbi’s, Priests, etc.)
• Ensure proper standards of cleanliness.
• Ensure the safe working procedures and safety regulations are adhered to.
• Remove from use and report to the Chef any item of equipment found to be faulty.


• Excellent rate of pay (competitive and negotiable, depending on experience).
• Assistance with Disclosure Fee.
• Annual Leave entitlement will be 5.6 x contracted hours
• Workplace pension scheme

We have various shifts available, for full and part time across 7 days; with a requirement of weekend work.
